Community Involvement

 Toys for Tots

• For the past 15 years, Gavel International has worked with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Foundation – a program that collects new, unwrapped toys from October-December and distributes Christmas gifts to needy children within our community.  With 100% of the proceeds going to purchasing toys, Gavel International has held a variety of events to raise money, from internal only to building-wide raffles. In 2011, we held our first ever Fear Factor for the Kids competition, where employee volunteers from each department were sponsored and challenged to consume 20 exotic items from around the world – and raised over $1000 from this event alone!  To date, Gavel International has raised over $20,000 for toy purchasing, over $2,500 from 2011.

• Gavel donates excess hotel and airplane toiletries and used cell phones to a nearby Women’s Shelters in the community.
