Gosling’s Black Seal Rum at Mickey’s

Gosling’s Black Seal Rum is the unofficial drink of Bermuda. It plays a key role in the island’s dishes, desserts, and, of course, cocktails. At Mickey’s, you can indulge in this Bermudan treat while soaking up beautiful ocean views in this breezy beachside restaurant.

Codfish Breakfast at Bouchee

Fish for breakfast? Only Bermuda could pull off a dish like Codfish and Potatoes for breakfast. To make this dish even more unusual, the cod is served with a tomato sauce and is accompanied with banana, hardboiled egg, and avocado on the side. Over the weekend Bouchee serves up a traditional Codfish breakfast along with some modern alternatives to the classic recipe. For those who would rather pass on fish, this award-winning restaurant has many other breakfast options.

Hoppin’ John at Gloria’s Kitchen

Try it at Gloria’s Kitchen along with some flash-fried fish. The no-frills atmosphere may not look like much, but once you try their food you’ll be hooked.

Afternoon Tea at Sweet P

In a country where rum and fried fish dominate, high tea may seem a bit out of place. However, don’t forget the strong British influence in Bermuda. Because of this, there are several great options for a proper high tea. One of the loveliest spots is at Sweet P. High tea is available on Wednesday and Saturdays and is located in the gorgeous gardens of Stewart Hall. Sweet P offers an excellent tea selection along with a variety of tasty fingers sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats.

Another wonderful option is Horton’s, home of the original Dark Rum Cake.
